Baiting?

So, after looking at this graph again, .is this an unfair question?

So...Mr. President...As we see, the unemployment rate has climbed well above where you and your team said it would without the stimulus plan.

Were you wrong about the impact of your stimulus plan or did your team not understand the recession very well in the first place?

Depends on your audience.

If it's the president's status group, then yes it's unfair, because you're assuming they care about the recession at all, beyond its form as an opportunity in their career.

If it's the people who lost their jobs, then I think it's a waste of time, because even if you reach them, they'll forget almost immediately.

If it's your own status group, then it's probably a waste of time because they should already know the president is ignorant of economics. (As indeed is rational for the president.)
