Slashdot links to an article suggesting happiness doesn't rise after $75k/y income. Last year, the number was $60K. I've had communist friends suggest $20k. And I've heard, in the distant past (5 years ago?) $5k. Fact is, the number at which happiness measureably improves keeps rising. That's the real news...not the stupid bit that the Tribune discusses.

I wonder if this is more like a story of shrinking ignorance or more like a story of improved measurement.
