We libertarians, and especially we left-libertarians hold to one of two alternative positions.
1. There are only 2 categories: Sheep and wolves. Dogs haven't evolved yet. The notion of paying some Wolves to fight other wolves is all nice and good...but best case...they eat us slower.
2. There is only 1 category: Wolves. However there's been a lot of work put in to try to convince 90% of the wolves that they should give up their teeth and claws, and wear wool. We reject that shit.

Apes are way more vicious than wolves ever were. Apes can lie, wolves by comparison cannot.
Humans are a special kind of vicious that can tell such a magnificent lie that you end up tearing out your own throat on their behalf.
After all, in the ongoing contest between wolf and man, who's winning?
So I'ma have to go with 2)++ Most every human makes a wolf look like a plushie. 'Course some humans make even other humans look like plushies, so there's that...
How did we get from wolves to dogs anyway?
1. We only let those wolves that behaved themselves survive.
2. We totally dominated the puppies as they were growing up.
Note that it takes about one generation of dogs that aren't dominated and controlled to turn back into wolves.
