On the topic of Tino, anti-immigrationist.

Tino's very persuasive anti-Caplan-on-immigration-line is here. While Tino is only responding to a part of the immigration argument, he effectively says: the evidence that ethnic diversity undermines the welfare state is weak, and supporters should back off. His final line:

It would be more honest, and more interesting, if Caplan acknowledged that there is no guarantee that the universe is designed in such a way to remove tradeoff for his ideological principles.

I'll personally bite that bullet.
