The core question in politics is how to set up positive sum games RATHER than zero sum games. Zero sum games suck for everyone.RTWT.
Incidentally...why I disagree wholeheartedly with the pro-white folks:
Race-based group conflict is fundamentally zero sum, which sucks. If you play zero-sum, you are making the deep problem worse. Trying to make an improvement in your current game position while making the game worse for everyone (including yourself) is a position I universally oppose.

I can't get past the rambling. Intellectual property is an improvement over "Randian cannibalism"?
Most political transfers are not in fact zero-sum, but rather negative sum. If you try to transfer $100 from me to Joe, it will cost >$100 to transfer it.
The problem is that failing to play such games insures that you lose the zero or negative sum game. If I don't defend against such transfers, that will tend to encourage more such transfer attempts.

What is the proper response if you're white and you don't want to play the race game, but everyone else is playing it?
Yeah, what Jehu and Meh said.
It may be zero sum to play the race game, but it is negative sum not to play it.
Mockery.
Aretae,
There is only one possible response to avoid the playing of the racial spoils game--you'd need a stable majority to have a pact to punish the snot out of any group that thinks it can play it and which could make a credible commitment to follow even when it was costly.
I don't see that happening.
Mockery.
I doubt that you mock your liberal friends for their bias against gentile whites. Based on your statements, you barely even argue with them.
And why do you always frame these issues as if they were cases of state vs otherwise free men when most people want government to do even more than it now is? There is consent of the governed.
Meh,
I am sufficiently socially awkward, and sufficiently "out" that if a friend or even non-work acquaintance comes out with anything pro-Affirmative Action...I call it racism.
Of course, it's relatively easy for me to get away with it.
1. I'm the kind of strange that comes with 4+ sigma. Everyone expects me to be really odd.
2. I've been a vocal libertarian since I was 10...and opposed government action across the spectrum.
3. I'm married to a black woman, and my kids qualify as black under stupid affirmative laws. You can't play race cards against me as a white liberal.
4. Even being a socially retarded 4-sigma geek, I have seen racism in action...in how people behave in Chicago...Black on White and White on Black. And everyone on Mixed race couples.
So...yes, I do mock. Or occasionally the words "fucking moron" come up...
5. You misread me on state vs. otherwise free men. People are tribal. Every asshole in the world wants to use the state to promote his tribe. It's a bad idea, regardless which asshole.
6. Dictatorship by a majority is no less a dictatorship. Pretending consent is a great rhetorical trick, and pretty crappy if you're thinking it through.
Jehu,
Gun rights took 25 years, in a solid rejection of the cathedral's position. There's a massive upswell in tea-party and related positions now, and I'd bet that in 10-15 years, it will be illegal to consider race when making hiring/admissions decisions, just as now it's illegal not to.
I'll take that bet.
I'll bet in 15 years we'll be even more race conscious. There is too much juice there. Are we ever going to get rid of Indian reservations? From what I see, the future is even more of such.
You, personally, may be non-race oriented, but most of the people around you are race oriented. It is kind of like being against masturbation because it is a waste of time. True, but who are you going to convert?
Mockery... right...

Meh,
1. Switching topics is not good argument.
2. If you have public schools, you will have cases where the assholes in charge do shit you don't like. Choices: abolish public schools (my preference), or put up with the fact that elites are going to do stuff that screws over the populace.
3. Complaining that they're not screwing the right people is, to me, laughable.
