More shooting, more meta

Two additional posts on Sandy Hook.

McArdle takes a sane centrist position suggesting that "can do" and "can help" are mutually exclusive.  Biggest argument weakness: she does not address the Israeli solution, which I count as both.

Diego Basch points out that the whole discussion is basically insane (HT: Cafe Hayek).  The only reasons the discussion is occurring at all is (a) media frenzy, and (b) massive innumeracy.  This leads to noting that media reporting is most of the problem.  If you were going to talk about restricting something, start there.

One could also listen to experts, this comes from the TDI blog, I humbly recommend TDI. They recommend this man's [cop] findings. His particular study is Rapid Mass Murder.
